Kiesha sighed, stripping off her thick woolen coat. The only item she owned that went absolutely everywhere with her, she was reluctant to take it off. But the heat was unabareable with it on.
"Just because it's summer doesn't mean it has to be so hot." She mutterede to herself.
Her voice was sweet, and slightly high pitched. She had been teased many times for it as a child, and mostly talked when she was alone, or when there was no other way around it.
She looked up at the large building before her. Her Mother had encouraged her to come here, saying a pokemon would do her good. Just as Keisha had started to think she was getting out of it, her mother pulled out her secret weapon. Saying how proud Kei's father would be if she got a pokemon and became a well known trainer.
After mentioning her father, Kei's mother began to say how it would give Keisha confidence and faith in herself, as well as responsibility.
Checking that her purple head band was in place, and her clothes were neat, and her coat was clean and tidy over her arm, and her shoes shone...
Kione whistled as he walked. He was in a good mood. He'd travelled, he'd battled, then he'd given his pokemon back to his grand father to retire. He was finally convinced in his ability to get himeslf a pokemon for real. While it had been tempting to capture one using his grandfather's pokemon, he felt it wouldn't be something he had earned.
So after some explaining to his parents, and a tearful goodbye, he had set off on a journey to a new land, one full of new adventures and new beginnings.
His first task was to go to the pokemon lab. From past experience he knew every region had at least one lab, where all the new trainers went to begin their journey. While he wasn't exactly a new trainer, he hoped the professor wouldn't turn him down because of his age. 22 was still young. At least, that's what he kept telling himself.
His whistling stopped when he saw a young girl standing before the lab, not moving, talking to herself.
Frowning slightly and trying to work out the best plan of action, Kione pushed forward, planting a giant smile on his face.
"Morning Beautiful lady." He said, extravagantly opening the door for her.
Keisha jumped back, eyes wide she stared at Kione. Finally regaining some of her composure she ran inside, leaving Kione staring at her retreating figure.
"Odd." He murmured as he followed her inside, allowing her to collect her first pokemon on her own. Looking around he spotted a pretty assistant. With a predatory smile, he made his way over to her.
Keisha ran blindly, not knowing completely where she was going, all she knew was that she had to get away from that man. The event ran through her mind over again. Part of her reasoned that he might actually be a nice person. The other part told her there was no way thay could possibly be true.
With her mind so occupied she ran into the professor's back.
Falling over she stammered her apology, rubbing her head without realising who she had ran into.
