Marisa was walking around Astra City, looking for a nice place to buy clothes. She wanted to look fairly decent while performing in the contest. She walked through town browsing shops until finally, one caught her eye. The sign above the store read 'Emma's Dress Shop'. "I'll take a look in there," she said to herself as she walked up to the store and entered.

Before Marisa really had much of a chance to even step five feet into the store, a very old woman was standing in front of her. "Ah!" She crooned, "Why is someone of your likes in this ancient shop? I really have no idea why such rich-looking people would care to buy from me. I make all my products--- I don't import those "fabulous" things you see on the television..." She rambled to herself for a moment before looking back at Marisa. "Please; a customer is a customer either way! Please make yourself at home. If you need anything, you can ask myself or Sarah, that woman over yonder." She pointed quickly to the counter on the opposite side of the room.

Marisa smiled at the old woman as she was ushered into the store, litsening to all of her advice. "Thanks, miss," she said softly, a little bit nervous. She never was good at speaking when first meeting people. "I-I have a bit of a question," she stammered a bit as she spoke, "Do you have any dark green dresses here? Kind of more of a Forest Green type of shade to it."

"A forest green?" She tiltered her head, pondering. "Well, I believe we may... I'm not 100 percent sure, but I can check." She turned towards a random rod with dresses on it. "Let me see..." She browsed, finding every green piece she could. After nearly a minute of going between three or four different racks, she pulled one off. "Ahh! Here we are." She chuckled, showing it to Marisa. "Forest green..."

"Oh wow..." Marisa said, gazing at the dress. It looked almost like the dress her mother had owned while she had participated in contests. "M-may I try it on?" she asked, looking longingly at the dress.

"What?" Emma crooned. "Of course! Be my guest!" She handed it to Marisa carefully. "I personally believe it'd look great on you..." With a smile, she added. "Go try it on... the fitting rooms are over there in the back." She pointed one of her long, old, wrinkled fingers and stepped aside for her to pass.

"T-thank you," she said smiling, holding the dress as if it were a delicate new flower. She made her way into the dressing room. She was fairly quick to change, and checked how she looked in the mirror. She smiled, and spun around once as if to check the dress out all around. It seemed nice, and it was very comfortable as well. She took a step out of the dressing room and asked, "How do I look?"

The ancient woman stared at her from head to two for at least ten seconds. Upon completing the scrutiny, she nodded and a large smile spread across her face. "My... you looke extraordinary, Marisa." She chuckled, approaching the girl. "It doesn't appear as though it needs to be better fitted either, does it?" She took some of the lace pieces and rubbed it between her fingers. "Such a lovely dress on a lovely girl. You are a perfect match."

Marisa felt her face getting warm as she blushed a little. "Th-thanks..." Marisa replied, grinning. "How much will the dress be?" she asked, remembering the debate of cost. She hoped she would have enough to buy the lovely dress.

"This dress is priced at about 5000 ND. However, it is 80% off... and that's not just because I like you." Emma smiled widely. "So, it'll be 1000 ND." The bright smile remained on her face as she waited for Marisa to either accept or reject the dress's price.

Marisa smiled, having that much money. "I-I'll take it!" she said, rushing back to the dressing room. She reached in er small pack and pulled out a wallet with the picture of a Meganium on it. She took out 1000 ND, and walked back over to Emma. "Here you are," she said in a cheery tone, as she handed the money over to Emma.

Marisa quickly walked back into the dressing room and changed back to her regular clothes. She floded the dress neatly, and held it delicately. She began walking towards the exit of the store, but before leaving, turned, bowed a little, and said, "Thank you!"
