Kayla and her pokemon walked along the road. They were traveling to Astra City. Flit and her newest pokemon, Sting, hovered above her. Neptune walked alongside her, with Sugar on his back, and Snap looked around for any pokemon. "Togepi!" Harmony cried, hopping along. "Don't worry, you can fight the next battle!" she told the little egg-like pokemon.

As Kayla was walking along the route to Astra City, a trainer named Matthew was sitting under a tree watching the clouds roll by. He looked down the road and noticed someone in the distance walking down it. A pokemon trainer? Now's a perfect time to have a battle... He thought to himself. So he leaned back a bit and waited for Kayla to get closer, then he would pounce.

As Kayla and her pokemon walked along the path, she saw a boy sitting under a large tree. "Hmm... I wonder if he's a pokemon trainer," she told herself. So, she strolled up to the tree where he was sitting. After all, a little battling couldn't hurt.

"Sure!" Mattew answered. "You read my mind!" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pokeball. "How about a one on one battle? I'll use my Tyrogue."
ooc: Oops, I suddenly realized he was a route 17 trainer o.o; Oh well, I'll reduce the levels of his pokemon for this battle.

"Alright!" Kayla replied. " I'll use Harmony, my Togepi.She hasn't battled yet. She may be small, but she would love to fight your Tyrogue." She let Harmony out of the pokeball.

"Alright then! Let's get started!" He walked behind the tree he was resting under, and there was a great, wide open area. "We'll battle here. Now, go Tyrogue!" He shouted and threw the pokeball in the air. In a flash the small fighting pokemon appeared. "Tyrogue! Ty!" it shouted.

Kayla saw the fighting type fly out of the pokeball. "Go, Harmony!" The Togepi tumbled out of the pokeball and landed on the ground. "Togepi! PI!" she cried.

Kayla smiled at Matthew. "Thanks!" she called back. "Okay Harmony, use Growl!" The little Togepi obediently listened.
"Pi! Togep!" Harmony growled, hoping it would affect the Tyrogue. "Your turn!" she called to Matthew.

"Alright Tyrogue, use tackle!" Matthew shouted to his pokemon. Tyrogue instantly obeyed his trainers command, hitting togepi.
Tyrogue: 100% -defense
Harmony: 94%

"Use Sweet Kiss, Harmony!" Kayla told her pokemon. Harmony obediently used Sweet Kiss on Tyrogue. "Togepi!" she cried. "Good job, Harmony!" Kayla called.

Matthew's Tyrogue was hit by the Sweet Kiss attack, making it confused. Instead of hitting Harmony, it inflicked damage upon itself.
Tyrogue: 95% +confusion
Harmony: 94%

"Metronome!" Kayla called out. Harmony immedieatley followed, hitting her opponent on the chest. "Pi!" Since the Tyrogue was confused, it was easy to attack.

Harmony's Metronome turned into a Hidden Power and launched Tyrogue backwards and into some bushes. However, he still managed to get up and use another Tackle attack on Harmony, but it was successful.
Tyrogue: 87% +confusion
Harmony: 89%

"Good job again, Harmony!" Kayla said. "Use Growl!" The little togepi let out a huge growl, trying to blow the fighting pokemon away.

Tyrogue used yet another Tackle, and it was successful, like the previous attack. "Tyrogue, Ty." It happily cheered.

Harmony was knocked on to the ground. "Togep.." She got back up and used another Metronome attack. She was sure it would work this time. "Pi! Pi!" she chirped.

This time, the Metronome turned into a Psychic, which was super effective against the Fighting-type. "Tyrogue, Ty!" He growled, only to use another Tackle attack on Harmony.
Tyrogue: 69% -Attack
Harmony: 79%

The Tackle attack hurt Harmony badly, once again. "Togepi!" In return, she used a Sweet Kiss attack. "Pi, Togep!"

"Togep!" Harmony giggled at the wobbling pokemon. "Pi!" She then used a strong Charm attack on the Confused Tyrogue. She followed up with a Growl attack.
