A lone figure approached the door of the lab, his eyes alight with excitement.
"I wonder what pokemon this region has to offer..." The boy said, examining a broken pokeball dangling from his belt. "Hopefully some legendaries." He knocked twice on the door, waiting for a few moments before looking around at the area.
"This place brings back memories..." He said, sighing and looking at his watch. "Looks a lot like Orengi's lab all those years ago..."
His eyes darted to the door again, eagerly waiting to recieve his first pokemon for the region.

The Professor, who'd been sitting on his normal, black swivel chair tending to his PokéPoison experiment, immediately stood up from his work and approached the oak door. "Aww," He smiled as he pulled it open, "please come in." He notioned for the boy to come in, and he gently closed the door behind him. "You are here for your first Pokémon, no doubt. But what type are you most interested in?"

"Ah, professor," Dirk said, greeting the lab-owner with a hearty wave. "I'm interested in a flying type, but may I ask what the options are?" His eyes scanned over the professor, taking in his appearance.

The Professor took just a moment to absorb what'd been said and thought up a few Flying-type starters. "There's Pidgey, Spearow, Zubat, Hoothoot, Swablu, or Starly." He nodded, and tried to think if there were any others that he'd forgotten. "I believe that's all---for Flying types, anyway. So, any of these seem interesting?" He stared, to say the least, at Dirk and waited for the boy to answer his question.

"Well, you can't go wrong with a pidgey," Dirk replied. "Unless you have a Skarmory... Or an absol." 'Mustn't forget about absols... He thought, the image of a blonde-haired trainer flashing into his head. I wonder what happened to him...

"Sorry, eh, sir." A very faint frown appeared, "Neither of those Pokémon. So, Pidgey, then?" Professor Pine stood more firm and took his keyring from his belt to unlock the Pokéball room. "Are you sure?"

"Thanks professor," Dirk said, quickly grabbing the pokeball. "I'll take my leave now." He glanced at the ball for a few seconds, turning it over in his hands. "I think I'll call you..."
Dante! No, save that for assumed identities. Hmmm, how about-
"Seifer..." He said, clipping the pokeball onto his belt. He started for the door.
"Oh yeah, professor," Dirk said, stopping and glancing back at the professor. "Let me know if you find out any information on legendaries. I'm a bit of a researcher myself..."
With that, he smiled and walk outside, ready to begin his journey in this new land.

"You mean Legendaries in the Nahra Region? Of course I will. We already have information on a couple..." He watched as Dirk wandered away. "Alright, then..." He chuckled, turning back to his work. "Aww, yes, needles from a Poison Sting attack----do not break easily..." He began talking to himself as he continued the PokéPoison experiments.
