Marisa looked at the large oak door carefully. She wanted to go inside, but was actually very nervous to enter. She reluctantly lifted her hand and knocked on the door lightly, because her hands were shaking as she did so. "H-hello...?" she managed to squeak out, hoping whoever was inside might hear. She felt like turning around and going home, but it was too late. She had already knocked on the door.

Quickly yet carefully Professor Pine sealed the two vials for the PokéPoison project, took off his goggles, and made his way to the door. He twisted the handle and hurriedly pulled it open. "Aww, please come in." He notioned for the girl to enter and slowly made his way to the back of the room, talking while walking. "So, you are here for your first Pokémon, no? Is there any one specific type or species you would favor?"

"Uh..." she said, she hadn't thought about it much. "What kinds of grass type pokemon do you have?" she asked, readjusting the flower in her hair. She always did this when she was nervous.

The Professor raised an eyebrow, "Well, loads, I suppose." He chuckled and picked up his hand to count fingers, "There's Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Turtwig, Grovyle, Oddish, Budew, Bellsprout, Lotad, Seedot, and, one more..." He thought, "I know there's ten!" As he spoke, a Hoppip jumped up onto the counter, hungry. "Goodness! Hoppip!" He handed it Pokémon food and set it back down to go eat and play. "What was it?" And then it hit him. "Duh! Hoppip is the final!"
