A Visit To Professor Pine

[Kyhaara]

The weather was sunny as Kiara Drake walked towards her destination. She had waited a long time for this moment; she was going to meet the Professor and, hopefully, able to receive her first pokemon.

Was it true what they said about him? That she'd perhaps get a choice? That, as a trainer, she could actually get a pokemon?

It was hard to believe, since she was foreign to these parts. Kiara was from Blackthorn City, and she would make her Aunt proud by exploring a new region Claire had never been to in her lifetime.

As she approached the lab's door, Kiara gave it a sharp rap with her knuckles and waited.

[Chu Chu]

The Professor, sitting at his desk, heard the knock and quickly got out of his chair and opened the door to see Kiara waiting. "Why hello there!" He said happily, beckoning the girl to come in. "I'm Professor Pine! I see you're here to get a starter pokemon no? Haha" He continued, barely stopping to take a breath. "Now tell, me what type of pokemon interest you most?"

[Kyhaara]

Kiara smiled warmly towards the professor as she stepped inside his lab. "Me? Personally, I love dragons. They're my obsession, you see. Anything that looks like a dragon and is powerful when grown up is what I'd seek for my starter. Are there any pokemon you would recommend that would suit my interests?"

Her violet eyes blinked once, as though Kiara were testing to see if she was dreaming or not.

[Chu Chu]

Professor Pine stood there for a second, with a smile on his face. "So you love dragon pokemon I see, well, a charmander would be an excellent choice if you ask me, but then again, dratini is great one." He paused, trying to think of any other Pokemon in mind. " Bagon to, but the decision is for you to make" He added with a grin.

[Kyhaara]

Kiara thought for several minutes, thinking about each choice. Possible move outcomes, looks, personalities...

Finally, she answered. "I'll choose Bagon, the determined dragon, as my starter pokemon. Besides my starter, is there naything else I ened before I start my pokemon journey?"

[Chu Chu]

"Bagon? Well. That's. Any excellent choice!" Professor Pine said happily, then he ran into his storage room and started looking through some of the pokeballs lined up on the shelf. "Hmm, let's see...Ah, here we go!" He called out as he yanked a pokeball off the rack and ran back to where Kiara was waiting. " Go Bagon! " and in a flash of red light the small Bagon appeared.

Kiara took the items the Professor had handed her. "Thank you Professor Pine! I shall name him Azzam. Where might you suggest I head first on my journey? Is there a route to the first gym?"

[Chu Chu]

The professor nodded and said. "I suggest you head to Aura Town, it's the closest from here." He handed Kiara the pokeball that was home to the Bagon and added. "But be careful while you're traveling, there's alot of wild pokemon here in Narha." He smiled.

[Kyhaara]

"Thanks again Professor!" Kiara called as she exited the Professor's lab and started off on her journey, heading towards Aura Town with Azzam, her Bagon.
