Amateur video tape taken by one of the victims:
*Fzzz* *Chkkk* The static clears and an image appears… The weather was ideal, a perfect sunny day. Not a cloud in the sky much to the happiness of the family picnicking in a secluded park. A man, three girls, four boys, the mother presumably holding the camera and filming. Several Pokemon were with them, but their pride and joy was a tough, well bred Absol, famed in most parts of the world for its amazing power.
It started raining, thinking nothing of it they gathered under a tree to wait it out but lightning stuck…everywhere. The mood was expectant, foreboding, threatening. The family quivered and held on to each other, their Absol facing the unnatural storm bravely.
Out of the sky a net dropped on the dark Pokemon, tangling around it then pulling it up. The father yelled in outrage and ran forward, a strong hand stopped him. He looked up at the Charizard pulling the net back up to the skies, preparing to carry the Absol off, then back to who was grabbing onto him. A girl, with a dark angry face and a blond Mohawk that bled into curling long hair down her back.
The family‘s eyes went wide in fear as person after person, rows upon rows, all in strange uniform appeared through the gloom, surrounding both tree and victims. They looked to the girl for guidance, for instruction.
“Who are you?! Team Rocket? Team Magma?” One of the boys from the family demanded. The girl let go and looked at the boy coldly.
“Team Storm.” She answered. “And don’t try to come after us please, or we’ll kill your Absol.” She didn’t sound like that would bother her greatly.
"Is that a threat?!" The woman behind the camera yelled.
"Yes." The girl replied bluntly.
"You can't do this!" The father shouted.
"Actually..." She began, but purposefully didn't finish, he knew the end of the saying, there was no need for her to. The ranks parted and a large, majestic Rapidash entered, without another word the girl was lifted on the fire Pokemon's back behind a young woman who looked like her but with black hair that was tied back.
"Make sure they can't send up the alert to Jenny." This new woman ordered. "Tina, you take over when we leave." The girl named Tina nodded, backed by her fiercesome Blastoise. "And Regina, darling, the boss wants us."
Reg glanced at her older sister, Adeline. "So it would seem. What does Jesse want now?"
"We'll find out soon enough."
The family was tied to the tree, their other Pokemon divided by a few higher ranking grunts under Tina's fair eye. Regina and Adeline had speedily rode off into the darkness. The storm dissapated as the grunts left in formation, scattering into squads and making seperate ways back to base.
The family untied intself eventually with much effort and sobbed over their losses while one of the girls ran off to tell Officer Jenny.
Back at the Police Station:
The camera is shut off. Static falls over the screen and the view is broadened. You see Jenny, Joy, Pine, and the other two of the Elite Four; Jenny has just turned off the small staticky TV set and is shaking her head.
"What do you make of that?"
"I can't believe it!"Chester exclaims.
"It's hard to." Jerome replied sadly, looking at his hands. "I'm afraid we have no choice."
"You'll help us bring them to justice then?" Joy asked hopefully, twirling a strand of pink hair on her finger.
"Not quite." Chester looked up at both women and the professor, and watched as their eyes widened in realization...and horror.
